We have a well and have been using these filters for 4 or 5 years. Replace monthly. Fast, reliable service, and by the looks of the filter after using it a month, it is doing its job.

These Filters Do Make A Difference!

Living without a sediment filter for 20 years and having to flush out and replace pipes because the sediment built up and slowed the flow of water down to the point where we couldn't even run or sprinklers outside and showers took longer due to low water pressure, was quite the experience. Now that we have a sediment filter, these whole house filters do their job. We've noticed this summer alone how quickly the filter fills up with the sprinklers going several days in a row to water the yard and when they are not in use the filters last 3 months. I am so thankful to have a filter that takes those minute particles out of the water before it travels through our water conditioner. Our white and light colored clothes no longer turn light orange or pink after several washings. That's means a lot to me and my showers don't turn orange anymore either!

We've been using these exact filters for 15 years - ever since we bought our house. We change them every 6 months and they are usually black and filled with sediment. We have really hard well water, and I can't imagine how many ruined appliances, etc. we would have had if not for this. Seeing what it stops also gives a bit more piece of mind about drinking the water...and it tastes great. Not really something one waxes on about, but they do their job. The only hard part is opening the filter housing to change the filter.

These filters are as advertised. I learned when putting my water system in that I had to remove the top black rubber gasket on this filter to keep it from leaking. I tried everything to stop a small leak in the filter. Finally took the top gasket off and bingo--no leak. My filters lasts about three months before getting really brown with crud.

I am not a plumber so as a novice it goes on pretty easily....I suggest putting a bucket under the housing when removing the old filter....It really catches the rust from the old water lines...I do recommend this product for every household.

Thought my water was clean before!!!!!!

Moved into a 4 year old home in 2013 thought I would install some whole house filters to remove sediment and odor purely for ease of mind. This home was built utilizing PLEX tubing so I was very comfortable with knowing I would have zero chance us corrosion in my pipes. I went with the Aqua-Pure AP800 series. I ended up putting two filters side by side to get the most filtration while not restricting water flow. Even if I had some redundancy between the two filters I didn't mind. The filters I used were the AP810 and the AP817. The results were outstanding. You really couldn't tell the difference in bottled water versus my filtered water. I replaced them for the first time after 14 months and you can literally see what the previous homeowners were dealing with.
